Refrigerant Charging: How does Checking the Charge Differ when using a High-Velocity Space Pak Unit! This is about Checking the Refrigerant Charge on a High-Velocity Ducted System such as Space Pak or Unico. This was a service call on a Space Pak system that was low on refrigerant. I explain how the heat exchange occurs at the indoor air handler with the evaporator coil being smaller. I explain the process of checking the refrigerant charge at the outdoor unit. I discuss the refrigerant heat exchange at the outdoor unit compared to conventional low-velocity split systems that most businesses and homes have.
