HVAC Superheat and Subcooling Explained! Understand the Concepts Step by Step!!

In this HVAC Video, we go over the Superheat and Subcooling Process during the Refrigeration Cycle on a Heat Pump. Understanding these concepts is very important to the technician's troubleshooting ability. We examine the unit in Heat Mode and discuss the purpose of Superheat and how you need to make sure that you have Subcooling so that the metering device has a solid column of liquid going to the orifice or txv. We discuss the refrigerant flow and what is really happening. I go over where the refrigerant is absorbing and rejecting the heat as well as many tips along the way. The accumulator's job is discussed in detail as well.
