Before Installing an AC Unit- Where to Check Flood Height Elevation!
This is how to check on the height you need to mount the Outdoor Air Conditioning unit when the building is near a river, bay, or ocean in terms of meeting flood elevation requirements. Mounting the unit above the existing first-floor height is not good enough to meet code as code heights are applied by the highest height recorded to date. Heights most likely have changed since the building was built especially if it is an older building.
